Gunnar K. Gouras, MD

Gunnar Gouras received his M.D. from Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons, followed by a research fellowship in Alzheimer's disease-related research in the Neuropathology Laboratory at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his residency training in neurology at the Harvard Medical School Longwood Program. Following residency he completed clinical subspecialty training in behavioral neurology & dementia at the Cornell University Medical College and at the same time reentered Alzheimer's disease research in the Cornell/Rockefeller Alzheimer's group. He currently is Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology & Neuroscience at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and has an adjunct faculty appointment at the neighboring Rockefeller University. His research focuses on the neuronal cell biology and pathology of Alzheimer's disease.
